Benji Carr-Biography

My art experience was first realized when I visited the Naples Mill School of Arts and Crafts.Initially involved with maintenance and ground management, I was drawn to the studios to witness the magic of artistic expression. Instructors and students from around the world were truly intriguing people, all following their creative paths and openly allowing their queried minds to take the lead. Today it seems as if it only took the blink of an eye to accumulate all that may assist my own perpetual study of the metal crafts. Casting, texture application, faux, and natural patination are some of the tangents that expand my knowledge of the metalsmithing skills. Settling in the heart of the Finger Lakes wine country has proven to be a convenience to the production as well as sales of my works. The grapevine theme is chosen for many homes along these lakes in varied applications. Thank you for taking the time to visit and please do give me a call concerning any of your metal craft needs. -Benji
